A review for therapists · about twenty minutes

Which of these should a journal never ask?

We're building something small: a private journal a client writes in between sessions, which asks one curious question back — and which their own therapist can read before they walk in. It isn't therapy, it doesn't advise, and it never summarizes or interprets. The clinician sees the client's own words, by date, and nothing else.

Below are twenty invented exchanges. Some are fine. Some cross a line. We want to know which ones you'd never want asked of your client, and why. Your "why" is the part we actually need — it's what becomes the rule the thing is built on.

No client information, please — everything here is invented, and your answers should be too. Nothing is saved until you press send.

Thank you — that's exactly what we needed.

Your answers came through. If something occurs to you later, mail it over; this stays open.
